The committee suggests that trade unions are given the right to resort to industrial action in order to push through a collective agreement with minimum wage demands, a so-called posted workers collective agreement. According to the proposals, within ten days the posted company should appoint a representative with the power to negotiate and sign collective agreements if a trade union demands it. The proposal says trade unions should be able to demand documentation, which proves that the posted employer adheres to minimum terms and conditions. Posted workers should be allowed access to Swedish courts in order to demand minimum terms and conditions according to collective agreements, regardless of whether they belong to trade unions that have signed agreements or not.

English: http://www.nordiclabourjournal.org/nyheter/news-2015/article.2015-10-21...

For more information, please contact the editor Jan Cremers, Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Labour Studies (AIAS) cbn-aias@uva.nl or the communications officer at the ETUI, Mariya Nikolova mnikolova@etui.org.
