The strike is endorsed by the unions, which say that the company intends to cut handlers salaries by between 20% and 30% despite there being no collective agreement. The unions also say that, despite the declaration of a 66% increase in profits announced recently, the company is refusing to negotiate on the matter, either with the works council or with the union executive.
