A blog of the US confederation AFL-CIO criticises the IMF and EC policy that forces the country to weaken its collective bargaining structures, lower its labour standards and wages, so that the people are forced to bow to the will of the market. The international trade union confederation ITUC concludes that years of failed austerity policies imposed on the country have impoverished millions and actually worsened the debt crisis.
