The workers led a strike action on 14 September 2013 and were subsequently fired. After filing complaints of anti-union practices by Gourmet, its management brought criminal charges of trespass, rioting, verbal abuse, personal injury against the activists to justify their dismissals. On 4 February the prosecutor decided not to proceed with the case for lack of evidence against the workers.
