From 1 January 2015, former unions Abvakabo FNV (public sector), FNV Bondgenoten (private sector), FNV Bouw (construction), FNV Sport and the FNV confederation will merge to become the new FNV. With FNV Bondgenoten on board, all large affiliates have opted into the merger.
