Compared to the same period in 2013, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased 7.3%. Real wages, which take into account the influence of the change in the consumer price index, increased 6.7% in the 1st quarter of 2014. Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, real wages increased for the eleventh quarter in succession.
