The new system includes a public naming and shaming scheme, which makes it possible for Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HRMC) to publish information about non-compliant employers. In 2012 and 2013, the HRMC fined 736 employers who had not paid the minimum wage and recovered £3.9 million in wages for over 26,500 workers.
