Trade unions are demanding a wage increase of 6% for all workers, with a minimum increase of €140 to ensure the lowest paid workers receive a bigger pay hike. In the second round of collective bargaining negotiations that preceded the warning strikes, Deutsche Post stated it had no intention of giving into the trade union’s wage demands.
