It took months of negotiations after the old agreement expired (in June 2011). The contract foresees a retroactive pay increase of 1% on 1 January 2012 and the same increase on 1 April 2012. In August 2012 there will be a one-off cash payment (€400 for the lowest wage scales, €200 for the higher scales). Agreed is to invest in training and employability; as of 2013 every worker will receive a personal career budget of €500.
