The dispute, reported repeatedly in this newsletter, started when twenty-five former employees of closed down Lagan Brick plant in Kingscourt sought improved redundancy packages and payment of the statutory redundancy rates. The labour court recommended improved redundancy packages and payment terms in a ruling marked by the absence of Lagan Brick management.
