The Hungarian, Czech, Polish and Slovak union leaders that signed the ‘Visegrád Charta’ in November 2011 called primarily for minimum salaries of junior doctors to be set at 1.5 times the national average and those of specialist doctors at three times the national average. They also called for rules for work beyond the basic 40 hours a week to be formulated according to the European Work Time Directive.
