The wages and salaries sum of the whole economy was 4.8% greater in the 2012 April to June period than in the corresponding period twelve months earlier. In June alone, the wages and salaries sum of the whole economy grew by 6.5% year-on-year. In the April to June period one year ago, the wages and salaries sum grew by 5.2%. Growth was fastest in construction (9.6%) and health and social work (8.6%). Most moderate growth was in private educational services (2.6%).
