Earlier there were several attempts to highlight the conditions of\r\nprecarious workers; for example Toni Zarb, Secretary General of the General\r\nWorkers’ Union (GWU), has raised the issue several times. After the parliamentay\r\nopposition health spokesperson argued that conditions of work and pay of\r\nsubcontracted care workers were in breach of the law, the government has set up\r\na board of inquiry.
