The Committee of Experts on\r\nthe Application of Conventions and Recommendations of the ILO considered the\r\nreport of the Mission on 9 December. The Committee underlined the important\r\nrole that can be played by the ILO to support government and social partners in\r\nthe development and implementation of relevant and appropriate reforms to the\r\nlabour market and its institutions so that these are in conformity with\r\nratified International Labour Standards. The committee further emphasized the need\r\nfor rapid support to bolster the labour relations system, promote collective\r\nbargaining and create a meaningful space for social dialogue which builds upon\r\nthe traditions of the social partners.
