A one-day general strike grounded all\r\nflights and buses, trains and ferries were halted. Schools, government\r\nministries, local authorities were also closed, with hospitals only\r\nmanned by emergency staff. The general strike follows a wave of\r\nsectoral actions, with further industrial action expected.
