The National Assembly’s social affairs committee voted in favour of the Bill on 22 July, enabling it to go to Plenary debate in the lower house on 7 September, and to the Senate in October. Unions are calling for the retention of the right to retire at 60 and want a minimum pension of Euro 1,600 a month.
