SAK chairman Lauri Lyly’s proposal opposes the position\r\nof the EK employers’ federation (Confederation of Finnish Industries) to have a\r\ncollective wage increase ceiling of maximum 1%. According to Lyly, the confederations\r\nSAK, the Finnish Confederation of Professionals (STTK) and the Confederation of\r\nUnions for Professional and Managerial Staff (Akava) should define a shared\r\nincrease goal as to ensure purchasing power and equal wage development. STTK’s chairman Mikko Mäenpää has reacted\r\npositively on Lyly’s remarks.
