Methodology: Labour Rights Index 2026
The WageIndicator Foundation and the Centre for Labour Research jointly produce the Labour Rights Index (LRI), a comparative measure of de jure labour-rights protection. The 2026 dataset covers 48 components grouped under 10 indicators across 168 countries. This is the fourth edition of the Index, following the 2020 (115 countries), 2022 (135 countries) and 2024 (145 countries) editions.
