CELSI has accumulated more than ten years of experience with the collection, processing and analysis of the WageIndicator data on wages, cost of living, minimum wages and collective agreements as well as related country level information on a global scale in collaboration with the WageIndicator Foundation and research institute AIAS of the University of Amsterdam.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Following up on the agenda explored at the Data Forum held at AIAS, the Data Forum at CELSI will focus on the topic of pooling salary survey data from multiple sources. The possibilities of data pooling for research will be discussed and state-of-the art research methods will be presented. Data combining can be performed on multiple data sets, but it poses challenges related to the dimensions of time, scales, groups, variances, variables or levels of observation. These opportunities and challenges, along with the possible biases and methods of alleviating them in online survey data, will also be addressed during the data forum.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch2>Information for applicants\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>Besides an open call for contributions, the Data Forum will include a number of invited speakers. Contributions using or researching online data as well as those related to the topics of combining\u002Fpooling of data sets for research and policy purposes are welcome.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Candidates to this Data Forum are expected to fill in the application form before \u003Cstrong>5 September 2019\u003C\u002Fstrong>, including a motivation for attending this Data Forum. Contributions may be selected for regular or poster sessions. Successful candidates will be selected by a selection committee.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Participation in the school is \u003Cstrong>free of charge\u003C\u002Fstrong> and potential participants may receive a partial reimbursement of travel and subsistence costs.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Contributions may be selected for regular or poster sessions.
