The negative sentiment, the\r\nfear that one might lose his or her job, was surprisingly low in Europe\r\ncompared to other participating countries, including Latin America.  \u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>52 Percent of the respondents in the UK felt their jobs were secure,\r\nclosely followed by the Netherlands (46 percent) and Spain (40\r\npercent). For other countries including the US, Latin America and\r\nIndia, that percentage of people that was sure their job was not at\r\nstake remained at 30 percent or lower.\r\nThe fear of actually\r\nlosing their job was highest in India and Mexico (both 37 percent),\r\nalthough only 12 percent of the visitors of the Indian site site said\r\nthey have lost their job. Of the 3,600 visitors of the web poll, over\r\n600 or 17 percent said they had lost their jobs. Here the European\r\ncountries also scored rather low, mirroring again a relative job\r\nsecurity. In the US 24 percent of the visitors said to be without a job\r\nand here 30 percent said they had no idea what the future would bring,\r\nthe highest score among all the countries.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The\r\nWageIndicator is using web polls to test the sentiment among its online\r\nusers.
