Launch of the WUNDERWORK project!
The new EU-funded HORIZON project aims to understand and find solutions for undeclared and underdeclared work in seven European countries.
Per 1 September 2026 WageIndicator and partners have officially launched the new EU-funded HORIZON project WUNDERWORK! We kicked-off the first month of the project with a Virtual Launch on 22 September 2026 and a kick-off meeting with all consortium partners from 7-8 October in Utrecht.

WUNDERWORK’s overarching objective is to advance knowledge on effective policies and workplace interventions that reduce undeclared and underdeclared work in ways that are both effective and inclusive, promoting workers’ wellbeing and ensuring a level playing field for European firms.
By conceptualizing underdeclared work through the lived experiences of the workers and firms who engage in it, WUNDERWORK contributes an innovative, situated conceptualization and operationalization of underdeclared work that is suitable for both interdisciplinary empirical research, as well as for the development of policies and interventions.
Within the four-year project, we are actively engaging with workers, NGOs, trade unions, employers, labour inspectors, policy makers and other stakeholders to co-create solutions.
Are you interested in becoming a partner? Please reach out and stay tuned for the launch of our website and newsletter soon!

WUNDERWORK is funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme. (Project No.101287327)
