About the seminar
The Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Labour Studies (AIAS) is an institute for multidisciplinary research and teaching at the University of Amsterdam.
Our presentation will revolve around the report of Pralita, called 'Enabling Apparel Workers and Employers to Check, Negotiate and Publish Working Conditions Online', and 'Mapping the Global Garment Chain' by Van Klaveren and Kea Tijdens. Van Klaveren will present the highlights of his research. Moreover, he will introduce and discusse the advantages and possibilities of a broad analysis of the information that garment and footwear companies have published online.
