Our Vision and Mission

WageIndicator envisions a world in which every individual, family, worker, employer, policymaker, company and researcher has access to clear, reliable, and context‑specific labour market information, enabling transparent and equitable decision‑making. This vision is grounded in our long-term commitment to labour market transparency, accessible data, and improved working conditions globally.

WageIndicator's mission

With this vision in mind, our mission is to collect, curate, and disseminate reliable, and up‑to‑date labour market information across more than 200 countries and territories globally in local languages for everybody. Through our global databases, tools, and publications, WageIndicator aims to improve labour market transparency by providing accessible information on wages and salaries, minimum wages, living wages, living income and living tariff, labour law, social security and pensions, collective agreements, working conditions, the platform economy and the future of work, including AI. We work towards ensuring access to labour market information, regardless of country, language, or background. We continuously update and expand the databases to reflect the latest developments worldwide. The data and databases are used for academic research, social dialogues and (wage) negotiations, policy influencing, advocacy campaigns, companies’ reporting requirements and the implementation of SDGs. Because we believe in data that works.
